Product description

Shell^® Tellus S4 VX 32 is an advanced hydraulic fluid technology designed for use in applications subjected to extremely low ambient temperature, such as arctic or exposed outdoor areas. Its very high viscosity index (more than 300) allows hydraulic mechanisms to function reliably at low temperatures, where most other hydraulic oils would become too thick.

Main applications

• Exterior hydraulic systems exposed to low temperatures, particularly in mining and forestry machinery
• Cold start-ups with subsequent temperature increases, ensuring reliable operation without overheating
• Approved for use by Komatsu Mining in arctic conditions (-50°C to 35°C)

Meets ISO 11158 HV Fluid (with exception of flashpoint). Listed or endorsed by Komatsu (hydraulic systems in cold and arctic conditions) and Dietz Automation GmbH (servo valve and proportional valve test equipment).
