Product description

Calumet^® Drakeol^® 6 VR Light Mineral Oil NF is a high-purity white mineral oil refined from petroleum, composed of saturated paraffinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons. It is a clear, colorless, essentially odorless and tasteless liquid, chemically stable and inert under normal conditions of use.

Drakeol^® 6 VR is inhibited with less than 20 ppm dl-alpha tocopherol (Vitamin E) and is manufactured to meet applicable USP/NF pharmacopeial and FDA food-contact requirements, making it suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food-industry applications. Drakeol^® 6 VR is also widely used in animal health adjuvant and injectable formulations, where its narrow-tolerance hydrocarbon composition and physical uniformity support consistent, high-purity emulsion performance.

Typical applications

Calumet^® Drakeol^® 6 VR is suitable for use in applications including:
