Product description

Shell^® Biodegradable Hydraulic Fluid 68 is a fully synthetic, polyalkylene glycol (PAG) based, non-aqueous hydraulic fluid formulated from a high viscosity index base stock and a non-metallic additive package to meet the demands of high-performance hydraulic systems.

The fluid is 100% water soluble and readily biodegradable, and will not hydrolyze in the presence of water — protecting hydraulic systems from harmful acid buildup and potential failure. Its high viscosity index and low pour point enable year-round service across industrial, marine, and mobile equipment, eliminating seasonal fluid changeovers.

Typical applications

Shell^® Biodegradable Hydraulic Fluid 68 is suitable for use in applications including:

Storage and handling

Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and incompatible materials. Shell® Biodegradable Hydraulic Fluid is typically not soluble with petroleum-based oils; avoid cross-contamination with mineral oil hydraulic systems during changeover.
