Miles® Citric Acid is a white, odorless crystalline organic acid made by fermentation. It is a widely used acidulant, preservative and pH adjuster in food and beverages, and also serves as a chelating agent and descaler in cleaning products, personal care, and pharmaceutical applications.
It dissolves readily in water. Keep it in a cool, dry place in a closed container, since it absorbs moisture and can clump.
